Creative Writing – How to write a great story (6-9-year olds)

Course Details

Writing is one of the most valuable outlets for our children to show off their creative flair, but where to start is often the hardest part!

This five-day course will help children to understand the key elements of writing a compelling story whilst building a vast vocabulary, getting dangerously descriptive and (most importantly) having a whole lot of fun!

Children in this course will have the opportunity to create their very own short story, and even have it turned into an ebook/audiobook to show off to family and friends! Write on!

I’m a fully qualified primary specialist teacher. I have taught in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools in both Australia and the UK over the last 6 years. I’ve completed a double degree (Bachelor of Education/ Graduate Diploma of Outdoor and Environmental Education) in Australia.

I engage my students in a range of learning experiences including active, musical, written, etc. This allows me to gauge what learning experiences are best suited to each individual child so that I can have the biggest positive impact on their learning outcomes. I believe that children learn best when they are having fun and active in the learning process and I ensure my lessons are reflective of that.

I have a passion for music. Whether it be playing guitar, singing, looking for new music , or producing at home and believes music is also amazingly effective when used to help children learn.
