Suad is currently studying for a chemistry Masters and aspires to also do a PhD in this subject. Although her tutoring experience began over three and a half years ago, she started working as a private tutor in 2016. Throughout the last three years, she has tutored students of all ages. In addition to this, she has worked in a tuition centre for seven months, tutoring KS3 and GCSE mathematics to a group of students. During this time, she has tutored students of different abilities, exam boards and in a variety of subjects, ranging from early years maths to A level chemistry.
Suad believes that by having a positive attitude and the required level of enthusiasm, coupled with easily understandable methods of teaching, she is able to make learning enjoyable and memorable. As a dedicated private tutor, she spends time understanding how her students learn best and implement this into her lessons; adapting her teaching style to suit each student, thus enhancing their learning.
Suad has a love for anything sports related, be it playing basketball with her friends, teaching korfball to primary students or watching football matches. That said, she is more of a ‘doer’ than a watcher! She is also big on reading – paperbacks are her haven after a long day of study. Another interest of hers is learning languages: she was awarded a scholarship to learn Spanish at university, and she is currently continuing to learn this language. Suad also speaks fluent Somali.
