Joe recently completed a Masters’ Degree in education from King’s College London and will begin study for a PhD in January. He is a qualified teacher (PGCE in secondary Spanish, Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) with eight years’ experience. He has mostly worked in the UK private sector, helping students prepare for various examinations including: IELTS, GCSE Spanish and PE, 11+ exams and SAT Mathematics and English. He has also tutored English in Granada, Spain for two years after gaining an undergraduate degree in sports development and coaching.
Joe firmly believes that, with the correct support, everybody is capable of succeeding academically. His ongoing studies into education research has given him a wide range of techniques and tools to help him find the right approach for each student. Joe always aims to identify the individual requirements of his students, before creating a clear plan to reach their targets. He expects his students to be involved in this process, helping to increase independence and allowing them to take ownership of their own learning.
In his spare time Joe is into fitness and nutrition, English & Spanish Literature and jazz.
