Emily completed her undergraduate degree at Newcastle University where she studied ancient history. After finishing her undergraduate degree, in which she achieved a 2:1, she studied at Oxford University, where she undertook her PGCE and teacher training. She has now been a history teacher for just over a year; firstly, teaching at a high achieving all-girls school, and now working at a well-respected school in Richmond, London.
Emily believes it is important to build a good relationship with tutees and work hard to really understand each student’s individual learning approach, seeing what works for them and how best they can learn.
Emily runs regularly during evenings and weekends and has just recently completed her first half marathon, with the aim to complete a full marathon in the spring. She plays basketball and is part of a team here in London. As a history teacher, she enjoys traveling in the holidays – often to historic and significant locations.
