Chris has a degree in mathematics obtained in 1997 from Nottingham Trent University. He has been providing maths tuition since 2017 to private clients and also on behalf of a charity who operate school programmes, giving support to children from less-wealthy backgrounds.
Chris’ main aim is to make improvements to the ability and outcome of all his students. All students are different and he addresses each child on an individual basis. For less able children, Chris looks to build their confidence through going back to basics and getting them into the habit of getting the correct answer. Using diagrams is often effective. For high-achievers, marks are more likely to be dropped through mistakes or bad habits. Therefore, Chris would focus more on getting these ironed out.
Having three children, most of Chris’ spare time is taken up by their activities and school work. Leisure pursuits he enjoys are playing guitar, keyboard and also playing squash.
